Pathology. The Movie.
There’s not a lot to be said here, except that you’ve GOT to watch the trailer for this movie. It’s a must-see. Could we buy better publicity?

I don’t remember residency being quite that exciting (or my colleagues being quite that good looking… certainly that evil, but not good looking.)
On the serious side - application to pathology residencies are way up. I recently saw a number of 120% over the past 10 years (it was the top of the charts). So much for the best kept secret in medicine. Damn that CSI.
Oh, no, a “Star Chamber” for pathology!
This is hilarious, but also very dumb. I’m not sure if it is a good idea to play up the idea everyone seems to have that pathologists spend all their time doing autopsies. (Yeah, right, my residency was spent in the county morgue.) On the other hand, it is a good way to stop people in their tracks when they start asking for medical advice. I simply offer to help them with an autopsy!
I practiced Clinical & Surgical Pathology for 31 yrs. and found it a very exciting time. Your movie deals only with Forensic Path & autopsies and does not give a true picture of what Pathology really is about. What about Cinical and Surgical Pathology?
Agree completely.
I practice molecular pathology / clinical pathology, and while this movie doesn’t sum up my experience with the molecular lab, the following does a pretty good job
So when exactly is this movie coming out? also another thing im a freshman at UK and well i am not sure about any career plans i want to do. i an quit interested in pathology and autopsies and things of this sort just thought that maybe some visit to a morgue could help with the decision, do you think they would allow this?
UA, call your local hospital, ask to talk to the chief pathologist, there should be no problem.
As for the publicity this film will bring, I do not think it will attract the right persons to Pathology. It is hard enough to watch my own knife, I cannot watch someone else’s!
