Jan. 22, 2022, 9:30-11:30am, “First Things First: Learning About Addiction,” will offer congregations guidance on the growing problem of addiction.  Speakers include Timothy McMahan King, author of Addiction Nation: What the Opioid Crisis Reveals About Us; the Rev. Dr. Ed Treat, founder and director of the Center of Addiction Faith, Vicki Elliot, executive director of Mental Health Connect, and Drew Brooks, director of Faith Partners.  “Programs such as First Things First demonstrate how we offer hope and healing in our faith communities, not only to persons with addiction but also to families who are affected by addiction, especially children,”  said Pastor Ed Treat.

This event, co-hosted by Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, Prior Lake, MN, and the Center of Addiction Faith is free and open to the public.  Masks required to attend in person.  You can also attend event online.
