02/6 The turning point

I was extremely overweight for my age and it has started to affect my health. I had to undergo a lot of health scares in recent years, so this pushed me to reverse my condition. That's how I started my weight loss journey.

03/6 Diet followed

My breakfast: I start my day by having oatmeal or a brown-bread sandwich with peanut butter or boiled eggs.

My lunch: Boiled chicken with plain rice or Any boiled veggies with rice

My dinner: 4-5 boiled eggs or Brown rice + moong or masoor daal+ boiled veggies

Pre-workout meal: Black coffee

Post-workout meal: 1 scoop whey protein

I indulge in (What you eat on your cheat days): I am a fan of non-vegetarian delicacies so when I get a chance to cheat on my diet, I usually have something like chicken biryani, gravy curry, shawarma or an egg roll. I have so many favourites!

Low-calorie recipes I swear by: Oatmeals or sprout salads

04/6 Workout regime followed

I follow PUSH, PULL, , LEGS workout routine. I focussed on training muscle groups two times a week.

Fitness secrets I unveiled: Hard work and some research are all that it takes to achieve your targets. Lethargy would get you nowhere. I put in dedicated efforts and was able to lose weight.

05/6 How do you ensure you don’t lose focus?

It takes a lot of discipline to lose weight and that's also the only thing that will keep you focussed on the goal ahead.

How do I stay motivated? I just believe in the philosophy of facing each day as it comes. Every day is a challenging day, You have to face it. I have to feel good mentally and physically every day.

What’s the most difficult part of being overweight? I used to feel terribly sluggish, tire easy and run out of breath. After a while, I couldn't complete regular chores on time.

What shape do you see yourself 10 years down the line? I simply aim to be better and better every day (I want to be the having best physique in the world. This is my dream)

06/6 What are the lifestyle changes you made?

Early to bed, early to rise. I also made a considerable amount of changes on the dietary front.

What was the lowest point for you? I faced a lot of body shaming through the years, rejected and humiliated very often. It really hurt my self-esteem.

Lessons learnt from weight loss: Weight loss has changed my life. Don’t focus on hearing what others have to say to you. Just listen to yourself. It all depends upon your thoughts. If you remain determined yourself, then YOU CAN AND YOU WILL. Love yourself always.
